FIFA 19: Player of the Month Predictions: August
Let’s discuss POTM for August.
This is gonna be first POTM for FUT 19 and it’s gonna be important for many reasons.
First reason is that we might get a really good card, which will be usable for 2-3 months into FIFA, maybe even more!
Second reason is trading and investing. For example, last year: Mane got 1st POTM and his NIF card went from 40k to extinct-160k. You can make loads of coins on POTM SBCs and this month is the same.
This will be tough month to predict, as there are a lot of players who started well this season and their teams did well in first 3 games. For example: Richarlison, Aguero and few more. I won’t include them, as their teams didn’t win all 3 games and they failed in 1 game of this month.
Still, there will be 5 main candidates from me, from 3 teams, which got 9 points of 9 at the start of PL.
Let’s start.
Sadio Mane. 1st Candidate from Liverpool. He started this season well, again, as the last one. IMO he has a highest chance of winning POTM, but we’ll see. He scored 3 goals and was crucial in Liverpool games.
Chances of POTM: 30%
Tips for investing:
NIF Mane card
Players from Liverpool: They can require whole Liverpool team. At the start of FUT 17 they required full City squad for Raheem Sterling POTM.
Premier League team: 83-85 rated PL squad with many nationalities. As Sadio is Senegalese, they might give a lock position to him at LW and we would need to build a higher rated squad.
Senegalese squad. I doubt that this will happen, but there is still a chance.
Worth investing? Depends on your luck and coins at the start of FUT. IF you have coins to buy only Mane – then go for it, it still will profit you.
Virgil Van Dijk
2nd Candidate from Liverpool. He has been really good. Well, he was amazing. Liverpool got 3 clean sheets at the start of this season. He transforms everyone around him into a better defender. Look at Joe Gomez.
Chances of POTM: 10%
Tips for investing:
NIF Van Dijk. He’d be a really expensive at the start of FIFA. Probably gonna be 85+ rated.
Other requirements as Mane.
Netherlands squad.I’d add Netherlands here, as there are a lot more players from this nation, than Senegalese. Let’s say 82 rated Netherlands squad with a lock spot at CB.
Worth investing? If he gets POTM- it’ll be quite cheap one imo. I can’t tell requirements, but in my opinion, something like: His goals and assists( Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal, Stoke) and his previous club( Valencia), apart from PL one.
Roberto Pereyra my first candidate from Watford. Probably has the same chance of winning as Mane. Had a strong month. Not just 1 game, he was good in all 3 games. Scored important goals, that gave Watford dream start.
Chances of POTM: 30%
Tips for investing:
Argentinian squad. I think 81 rated Argentinian squad with a lock CM spot.
PL Team. Around 83 rated Premier League squad with a lock CM spot
August goals: PL Team with 2 Brighton Players and 1 Crystal Palace player
Worth investing?Same as Mane, I think it’s gonna be really close between those 2, so I think it’s worth investing.
Marcos Alonso
Well, unsung hero for Chelsea in my eyes. He got 1 goal, 1 assist, 2 fouls that lead to penalties, and 1 shot that lead to OG. Great month for Alonso under new manager. Still, really low chance in my eyes.
Chances of POTM: 10%
Tips for investing:
Spanish Squad
Chelsea squad
Premier League team
Worth investing? No, I wouldn’t invest in him.
Lucas Moura
And suddenly wild Moura appears. Scoring 2 goals vs United boosted his chances a lot towards this POTM, so I’ll give him 3rd place after Mane and Pereyra. He had a quite good month, after rough start in England and he’s starting to prove his worth.
Chances of POTM: 20%
Tips for investing:
Brazil Squad. 82 rated with a lock RMRW spot
Spurs squad.81-82 rated Spurs team with probably lock spot at RM
Premier League team.Same as before 83-84 PL team
Worth investing? Yes, I would invest in him. He seems like a nice candidate for POTM in my eyes and he’d probably rather cheap (cheaper than Mane for example)
Overall I think it’s gonna be Mane, but also Pereyra and Lucas would be a nice starter cards.
If I fail- sorry, guys:D
