FIFA 16 Team of the Week Predictions: Week 7
Managed to score a fairly average 16/23 last week, really hoping for better this week; setting myself a target of a minimum of 18/23…
No Messi, no problem
It was Neymar’s turn last week, this week it’s the turn of the Uruguayan superstar striker that is Luis Suarez. Minnows Eibar were briefly ahead in Catalonia thanks to a strike from one of the five individuals I tipped to shine this season, Borja Baston, however once Suarez, Neymar and co. got going, there was no stopping them. Suarez netted a hat-trick with the Neymar assisting two of his three strikes, taking the Brazilian’s tally to four goals and five assists in just three appearances. But even he couldn’t steal Suarez’ thunder, and after taking home the match ball, the Uruguayan is certainly going to be the star item in TOTW7.
Well that was dire
Is what we were all thinking after the Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon; to say that both defences won would be an understatement. However, as it is a game of such magnitude, it is often represented in the TOTW and this week shall be no different. I’ve opted for Man of the Match Nicolas Otamendi was the obvious choice after he shut down Wayne Rooney for 90 minutes in a performance which showed what the Argentine is all about. He’s confident, he bullies strikers and is monumental in the air; yes, at times he can seem rash, however I think he’s almost nailed on to become a hit among the blue side on Manchester.
Brilliant Borussia Dortmund
It’s obvious that they’re not quite on Bayern’s level, however the free scoring BVB are certainly giving Bundesliga back-lines something else to think about. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is at the heart of it all; the Gabonese front man has 13 for the season, joint with none other than Robert Lewandowski, and some of his link up play with the likes of Marco Reus and Shinji Kagawa over the first 10 matches of this year’s Bundesliga campaign has been nothing short of mesmerizing. The trio were on fire as Dortmund put five past struggling Augsburg, Aubameyang the star of the show netting a hat-trick, whilst Marco Reus scored the remaining two, both of which were assisted by Japanese playmaker Shinji Kagawa.
Enjoy folks! #PACKPARTY
