FIFA 16 Team of the Week Prediction: Week 17
Disappointed with only registering 12/23 for TOTW 16; there were some odd choices on EA’s part, however that’s no excuse for such a low tally. Onward and upward with TOTW 17!
Double trouble!
You could argue I’m being lazy and overly cautious, including more than one player from the same side, and normally I’d agree with you. However when it comes to weeks like this with a limited number of fixtures, sometimes you have to double up. I’ve opted to do so three times this week, for Chelsea, Sporting CP and Eibar.
Starting with the Blues who registered a convincing 3-0 win over London rivals Crystal Palace and, if it weren’t for Diego Costa being included in last week’s TOTW, I could’ve included any of three Chelsea players. I’ve opted for the Brazilian duo of Willian and Oscar – the former has been Chelsea’s best player this season and was lively again against Crystal Palace, scoring once and being named as Sky Sports’ MOTM. Oscar also found the net, but also set up Willian and thus notched his first assist of the season.
It was 1st vs 2nd in Lisbon at the weekend as Sporting CP took on FC Porto. The home side came out with a 2-0 win and inflicted Porto’s first defeat of the league season. Again, there were numerous outstanding performances on show for Sporting and none more so than that of Islam Slimani, who took his tally to 10 for the season with a finely taken brace. The other Sporting player I’ve opted for is former Fulham midfielder Bryan Ruiz, who was instrumental throughout and assisted the first of Slimani’s goals.
Finally little Eibar, and this duo of players is slightly different to the others as their performances in fact came over two matches. Beginning with right back Ander Capa who was fantastic going forward in their very impressive 4-0 away win at Real Betis, scoring a goal and registering an assist. A feat that was matched by right midfielder Keko in the same 4-0 victory, however Keko had also been fantastic for Eibar in their first match of the week, scoring and being named as the MOTM in Eibar’s 2-0 win over Sporting Gijon.
Enjoy Folks! #PACKPARTY
