FIFA 16 Team of the Week Prediction: Week 15
Given I wasn’t very confident with last week’s prediction, I’ll take 13/23. More confident about this week’s prediction however, let’s hope we can hit the high teens again!
10. Yes, 10. (TEN!)
Bit gutted that I missed Real Madrid’s 10-2 demolition of Rayo Vallecano if I’m honest; safe to say that the previous night’s antics were getting the better of me. I’m not going to comment on the match’s refereeing and what Paco Jemez thinks of it all, I’m merely here to focus on the stat padding outstanding performances from the likes of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema. The former had a part to play in half of Real Madrid’s 10 goals, scoring four and assisting another, whilst the latter’s contribution was fairly merger in comparison, with the Frenchman only managing a hat-trick. Right-back Danilo and midfielder James Rodriguez are the two other Los Blancos stars that could see themselves in the upcoming Team of the Week.
A bad weekend to be from the North-West
Can’t be often Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton all lose over the course of a weekend? It happened though and let’s begin with Manchester City, who were undone by Arsenal and more specifically Mesut Ozil, who registered two more assists on Monday night in a 2-1 victory. United went down 2-1 at home to struggling Norwich, who had many stand out performers. I’ve opted for central defender Sebastian Bassong though, who kept the Red’s relentless attacking football at bay time and time again. Liverpool were probably the side to be most emphatically undone; their demise came against Watford, who possess an in-form strike force consisting of Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo. The latter was the star of the show, netting two more goals and almost certainly securing himself a place in the Team of the Week.
Enjoy Folks! #PACKPARTY
