Match Week 2 of the FC Pro Open is finished, and Group B is absolutely stacked. You’ve got 2024 World Champion Anders Vejrgang, 2023 World Champion Manu Bachoore, and the legend Nicolas99FC, who’s got a whole list of achivements to his name. And that’s just a few of the big names, this group is crammed with talent.

We’re breaking down all the tactics used by each of the pro players, with a quick explanation for each one. And yes, the part you’ve all been waiting for. the tactics code is included!

Before diving into the tactics, let’s take a quick look at the match results and standings after Match Week 2. Below, you’ll find the results from all five rounds. As expected, there were plenty of tight games, but Round 4 stood out as the ‘big hitters’ of the group delivered dominant wins across the board. Overall, it was an incredible night of competitive FC, the hype was real, and it didn’t disappoint.

Here’s how Group B stands at the end of Match Week 2. Manu and Anders sit in 1st and 2nd, with Manu claiming the top spot after beating Anders in their Round 5 showdown. LJR Peixoto put in a superb performance to secure 3rd place, while Nicolas99 isn’t far behind. The group is shaping up nicely, and with everything still to play for in Match Week 6, the excitement is only building.

Now, the bit you have all been waiting for, let’s get into the Tactics.

Manu Bachore: 4-4-1-1

Bobby Charlton at CAM in this formation is seeing an incredible amount of success so far in the FC Pro Open, Charlton has the PowerShot PlayStyle+ with a 5* weak foot making him perfect for the current meta.

Manu also has both CMs on Holding to give him that extra defensive stability in the middle, whilst having both fullbacks on Balanced to give that extra options in attack.

Anders Vejrgang: 4-4-2

Great start to the FC Pro Open for Anders this week securing all possible upgrades for Xavi Simons and currently sits 2nd in the group.

The most notable thing about this tactic is that he has both CMs on Playmaker Attack, not something you would usually see but he manages to make it work for himself. He uses two players there with the Long Ball PlayStyle+ for the over the top through balls. Drogba alongside Mbappe is a good combination of speed and power.

LJR Peixoto: 4-2-3-1

LJR Peixoto came out the blocks flying making use of the over the top through balls and locking in upgrades for Igor Silva.

At first glance this looks like a standard 4-2-3-1 tactic, that is until you see that he has one of his CDMs as Centre-Half meaning that he drops into the defence to make it 5 back. Having both fullbacks on balanced is needed for that extra attacking option.

Nicolas99FC: 4-3-2-1

Nicolas99FC is using the 4-3-2-1 that was incredibly popular on FC24 but has seen some changes with the CF position being removed and replaced with CAMs.

This is definitely one of the more unique setups, you can see that he is trying to replicate the success of having the overload on one side which here is his left hand side. The left back is set to Wingback in an attempt to provide and overlap to Bruno Fernandes. It looks to be quite an attacking setup with two CMs set to Playmaker Attack, so this one is definitely for the more experienced players.

AboFawzi: 4-5-1

Another different formation used with Abo Fawzi opting for a 4-5-1, he is the only player using this formation this week.

By having two CMs with the PowerShot PlayStyle+ it gives him the option for the first time power shots from either side, and having the pace out wide allows for the through balls in behind his opponents.

The1OS: 4-4-1-1

Similar to Manu, The1OS is using a 4-4-1-1 and choosing to use Charlton at CAM. The main difference here is he is using his wide players as Inside Forwards, meaning they dont give him the width like the Winger option that Manu uses. The width for him comes from the left back Theo Hernandez, he is set to Attacking Wingback meaning he can offer that overlap on the left.
