Match Week 4 of the FC Pro Open is officially in the books, marking the end of the first round of matches across all four groups. Group D, much like the others, didn’t disappoint, stacked with world-class talent, including the current world number one, Abu Makkah.

As always, we’re diving into the tactics used by these pros, breaking down each setup with quick explanations. And yes, we’ve got you covered with the tactics codes you’ve been waiting for!

Before we dive into the tactics, let’s quickly recap the Match Week 4 results and standings. Abu Makkah started strong, dominating his first three games with 16 goals scored and only 1 conceded, a clinical performance from the world number one. KTZN had a tough start but managed to grab an important win in Round 4, showing resilience. The night was packed with high-scoring games, making it an unforgettable evening of FC25 action!

Here’s how Group D stands after Match Week 4: Abu Makkah leads the pack with 12 points, while positions 2-4 remain tightly contested. Paulo Neto and KTZN face an uphill battle to secure qualification, but with a strong performance in the next round, it’s still all to play for. The group is poised for a thrilling finish.

Now, the bit you have all been waiting for, let’s get into the Tactics.

Abu Makkah: 4-5-1

Abu Makkah the only player from group D using the 4-5-1, his ability to utilise his midfielders passing PlayStyles and his pure FC ability is the reason he is top of the group.

One standout feature of his setup is having both fullbacks set to Wingback roles rather than Fullback, adding extra width and attacking options to his gameplay.

Fouma: 4-2-3-1

Fouma uses the 4-2-3-1 narrow, not a formation you see often, likely due to the lack of CAM options available, however this is a very solid formation defensively and gives good options offensively.

The most notable things on the Roles is that two of the CAM are used as Half-Wingers, so it will play a little more like the 4-2-3-1 wide variant.

Levi De Weerd: 4-2-3-1

Levi also opts for the 4-2-3-1, proving it’s a bit more popular than I initially gave it credit for. His setup is more standard, with all three CAMs assigned the Playmaker Role, creating plenty of creative options in the final third. Additionally, his left-back is set to Wingback, offering extra support down that side and adding an attacking outlet when needed.

Phzin: 4-4-2

Phzin is rolling with the 4-4-2, a fan-favorite formation this year. His setup features two Box-to-Box CMs for balanced midfield control. Interestingly, he sets his left midfielder as an Inside Forward for added support in the middle, while his right midfielder remains a Winger, providing extra width when needed. It’s a smart blend of central and wide play.

Paulo Neto: 4-4-1-1

Paulo Neto opts for the 4-4-1-1, leaning into a more defensive approach with two holding CMs. Like Phzin, he uses an Inside Forward on one wing and a Winger on the other, balancing central support with width in attack.

KTZN: 4-4-2

KTZN sticks with the popular 4-4-2 but takes a more defensive approach by using two Deep-Lying Playmakers in midfield. Notably, he sets his left-back to Wingback and his left midfield to Winger, aiming to create an overload on that flank and exploit space down the left side.
