FC 26 Title Update - Full Notes 1.2.0

EA Sports has an incoming title update for FC 26, bringing gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and updates across multiple modes including Ultimate Team, Clubs, and Career Mode. Below is a full breakdown of the official patch notes.

Gameplay Updates

Attacking

• Further reduced accuracy of Acrobatic shots taken right after a flick.
• Slightly increased AI teammate attacking runs into the box.
• Strikers now better support counter attacks after passing.
• Wingers improved – now make forward runs instead of dropping back.

The improvement of AI teammate runs deffo sounds like something positive it will be interesting to see how they act with some potential changes to defending.

Defending

• Slightly reduced tightness of AI defenders marking on the edge of the box.
• Improved defensive marking during short corners.
• Through passing and crossing now better respect aim input.

Improving defensive marking on short corners is a W, it’s well known within the community that short corners your team are just wide open and helps the opponents find an easy pass into your box to score, hopefully this change works as intended. The reduce of AI defenders marking tightly could be a W? no more parking the bus? unlikely.

Goalkeeping

• Goalkeepers more likely to catch instead of punch crosses.
• Improved decision-making on dives when dribblers are nearby.
• Reduced overcommitting to one side on far post first-time shots.
• Remapping controls no longer affects Be A Goalkeeper inputs (visual issue remains on UI).
• CPU goalkeepers now pass faster instead of unnecessary touches.

My goalkeeper is finally going to make a catch? incredible news… “Thats his job”, we saw a meta slowly start to creep in with first time shots and it seems they’ve tried to counter this by making the keeper more “central” as you’d expect, no overcommitting.
