Group B also known as the group of death did not disappoint, full of goals, action and massive moments, lets take a dive into how each player did from top to bottom, their progress in regards to upgrades and also their custom tactics used.
Emre Yilmaz
Team Liquids Emre Yilmaz is arguably the most inform and dangerous player in the world right now and its no surprise he has kicked the week off in the group of death by getting 15/15 points and solidifying himself in that number 1 spot. The biggest of compliments calling it “not a surprise” just says how good he is. 39 goals score across 5 games showing how dangerous he is to the opponent and to do it in this group is insane. giving himself a 5 point gap ahead of week 2.
Umut
RBLZ’s Umut is another huge name in this group, ex world champion looking to make it through the group. The item assigned to him is the very popular Klosterman. The item itself is a very good item and boasts alot of top defensive playstyles. Umut kicked off the campaign with a solid showing ending matchweek 1 with 10 points putting himself in a really good position to finish in the top 3. most notable result beating current world champion Manubachoore.
ManuBachoore
Another team liquid player makes up player 3/6 in this group and that’s current world champion ManuBachoore. He ended gameweek1 on 6 points which for him is a big underperformance based on his own standards but still leaves himself in the top 3 with a solid chance of qualifying. He will need to probably win 3 games and draw 1 if he wants to maximise the upgrades for his player.
Obrun
Obrun is one of two italians in this group and ends night 1 of Group B in 4th place. He started the night of slowly and was looking like he was going to end the night on maybe 1 point. But class soon come through and he managed to pick up some solid results and leave him just 1 point of the qualification spots. He will be looking to improve on his week 1 performance in the next game week and i think anyone would be silly to doubt him.
Darkley
Darkley come out of week one placed in 5th pace and 2 points off the qualification places. His notable results coming against both italians in the group leaving him on 4 points. He narrowly missed out on some points losing 6-5 to manu bachoore which could have really changed up the group. He will need to get another 6 points to earn Fabio Viera’s next upgrade which could be a hard task in a group like this, but he definitely has the ability to do so.
Caccia
A debutant at the FC pro open this year is Caccia, was recently a free agent until esport org Exceed picked him up after his qualification which was thoroughly deserved. Sadly for caccia week one didnt go how he would have liked as he ended on 3 points with minus 16 GD with a bit of a hill to climb for qualification and upgrades for his player. He has the ability to do it, the positives are he is only 3 points off the qualification spots.
