Hello and welcome to Team of The Week Predictions #5. International breaks are rough. Not only for football fans, but also for us, who make TOTW Predictions. In previous years we had to find 24 good performances and it was hard to do. This year we’re on 18, so it should be easier. Right? Hopefully so.

This week delivered some great performances from top and not so top players (in game, of course). We should see some very high rated players and someone unknown getting a card too. We’ll see how it goes, but let’s do this.

Main performances came from Norway and Portugal. Norway played 2 games and lost to Spain in 1 of them, but in other one they won 4-0 vs Cyprus and Haland scored 2 goals. Is it too soon for Haland IF right after his RTTK? It may be. But we’ll see. I need a highlight and Haaland with 2 goals is a big highlight.

Another good performance that I have is Bruno Fernandes. Why not CR7? I think he’ll be in part 2 of Trailblazers because of his good start to a season, so I went with Bruno instead. 2 assists in 3-2 win over Slovakia is a good enough performance this week to get an IF. Same issue as Haland tho – it may be a bit too early for his IF, as he just got RTTK, but I don’t have many choices this week.

Then we move on to some Women football. Megan Rapinoe scored 2 goals in 3-0 win over Chicago in their league and finished her last season strong. Lindsey Horan scored 3 goals from midfield for Lyon in 6-0 win over Saint-Etienne and should get a nice IF.

Moving back to men’s football. Caicedo got 2 assists for Ecuador, he should get nice IF for Cheslea fans. Berardi scored 2 goals in 4-0 win over Malta and should FINALLY get an IF (long overdue one). Otamendi scored 1 and only goal in 1-0 win over Paraguay and should be in with a lack of CBs. Lukebakio scored 2 goals in 3-2 win over Austria, which was very important and probably secured Belgium 1st spot in their group. Frankowski got an assist in 2-0 win over Faroe Islands and kept CS. With lack of defensive options – he should be in. Same with Jesus Navas, who assisted a goal in important game vs Scotland, which finished with 2-0 victory for Spain and qualified them to Euros.

There are some good performances on the bench, like Wilson with 2 goals for Wales in 2-1 victory over Croatia that puts them in leading position for 2nd spot in their group ahead of Croatia. Jesper Karlsson scored 2 goals in 3-1 win over Moldova in friendly and should get in. Benjamin Sesko scored another 2 goals for Slovenia in 3-0 win over Finland. Slovenia right now leads a group with Denmark and should qualify to Euros, which will be incredible achievement.

That’s probably it from highlights from International games, so for the first time in this season I’ll say this:
