Positives & Negatives

Positives

• Son possess the ability to be able to score finesse shots from anywhere, he can shoot with either foot and it will manage to find the target and most of the time, the back of the net. This is mainly due to his Finesse Shot PlayStyle+

• He has great pace, this also allows him to be used as a winger as well as a striker.

• He has the Rapid & Quick Step PlayStyles, both are great for increased pace and dribbling.

• He also has good short passing, meaning if you wanted to you could operate him as wide CAM or even a central CAM.

• As he has 4 playable positions (ST, CF, LM, LW), this allows for more versatility when squad building.

• He also has a 5* weak foot, this is one of the biggest positives about this card as this combined with the Finesse Shot PlayStyle+ allows he to score finesse shots from everywhere on either foot.

Negatives

• This is undoubtedly an expensive SBC, coming in at about 700K coins and it is unlikely that people have that kind of untradeable fodder, meaning you will have to use coins to complete him.

• Being from South Korea, he is difficult to get a nation link to, the few options are a Manager or one or two players in game.

• Playing for Tottenham there are limited top tier players available to link to, therefore getting that club link can prove tricky.

• He can feel weak on the ball, this is due to his 67 strength.

• He also has quite low balance (76), this isn’t hugely noticeable, however it is still a negative.

Verdict

Son is a player that fits into the category of expensive, but not overpriced. I understand 700K this early on for a player seems extremely high, however players who perform to his level are going to come with an expensive price tag.

After using him for a number of games, it surprised me how many times his finesse shots would fly in, with either foot and even from angles which they really shouldn’t have. He is quick, good on the ball, his 4* skill moves are great to have and he has really good passing for a striker.

The main negatives about the card is his physicality, this is due to his really low strength and aggression.

I understand the price will put a lot of people off, however there is about a month to complete him and if you are looking to work towards a player he should be your focus.

For me, this card is simply superb, expensive but not overpriced so it is going to be a SPEND!
