EA FC 24 Bundesliga POTM Predictions - December
Hello and welcome to Bundesliga Player of the Month Predictions for December. Kinda weird month, in previous ones we had clear favorites, one or two usually, but this month been too equal, even for my liking. There are a lot of players who scored 3 goals in 3 games, so we’ll name them and later we’ll decide who’s a favorite.
What we learnt – Harry Kane never wins POTM, despite him scoring incredible amount of goals and getting assists. They’ll always find someone else. I don’t say that they are undeserved winners, but feels like Kane is getting robbed. This month Kane scored only 3 goals in 3 games. 2 of them came in important game vs Stuttgart, another one was vs Wolfsburg in the last fixture of the month. Main negative point that Bayern lost 5-1 to Frankfurt. Usually it happens to Bayern occasionally 1 time per year, so yeah. Kane, if he wins, will be… ergh, IDK? Probably 94? Or 93 again? This is hard with all promos, let’s hope, if he wins – he’ll be 94, so the SBC will be good! Price prediction around 200k, similar to his TOTGS.
We move to another player with 3 goals to his name. Tim Skarke. Like Stark, but Skarke. Darmstadt had bad month, but Skarke scored 2 goals in 3-3 draw vs Hoffenheim, he also scored 1 goal in 3-2 defeat to Heidenheim. Overall, chances are very slim for his POTM, but we should still acknowledge personal performances. If he wins, he’d actually be alright 85 POTM with some big pace and decent stats overall, I expect him to be like 20k at max.
We’re moving to 3rd player with 3 goals. Ihlas Bebou from Hoffenheim scored 3 goals in 4 games. Overall, not the best month for Hoffie, with 2 defeats, 1 draw and 1 win. Bebou managed to score 3 goals in the same game as Skarke did, if they didn’t drew, I’d put Bebou higher too. He also scored 1 goal in 3-1 win over Bochum. Bebou’s POTM would be fast card with nice stats, but would be kinda hard to link. Evolutions would help him with links, but still not ideal. He’d be like 86 rated card that would be worth 40k or so, just because of his pace.
For those who watch Bundesliga often – next name will be familiar to them. Michael Gregoritsch managed to get 3 goals and 1 assist in December playing for Freiburg. They had rough start to a season, but turning their season slowly around. Michael scored 1 goal in 1-0 win over Mainz, 1 goal in 1-0 win over Wolfsburg, and 1 goal and 1 assist in 2-0 win over Koln. So basically because of his contributions they got 9 points and had great month. His POTM would be nice fodder. He’s slow and I doubt many people would use him. 87 rated POTM that would be worth 15k would be nice for SBCs.
And last, but not least, Leverkusen time, once again. They didn’t win every single game this month, but they also didn’t lose this month. So they got 2 draws and 2 wins, still sit comfortably at 1st place with 4 points over Bayern and 2nd half of the season will be exciting. Florian Wirtz keeps on performing. He scored 2 goals and got 2 assists to his name. 1 goal in 1-1 draw vs Stuttgart in 1-1 draw, 1 goal and 1 assist vs Frankfurt in 3-0 win and 1 assist in 4-0 win over Bochum. He also played well in 1-1 draw to BVB. Probably best player in Germany right now and that’s fantastic to see after his cruel injury. Another candidate from Bayer would be Patrick Schick who scored 3 goals in 4-0 win over Bochum. It’ll be interesting to see competition between him and Boniface in the 2nd half of the season, as Schick was wonderful season before last season. Schick should get an IF, so his POTM would be even better and higher rated. Wirtz would be 89 rated POTM, I think, with some cool stats, and he’d be worth like 80-100k, I think, while 89 rated Schick would be nice fodder for like 50k.
Overall, hard month to predict, feels like every single one can win. I think it’ll be between Gregoritsch and Wirtz, and I think recency bias + overall hype for Bayer would make Wirtz a winner. One day we’ll see Kane with an award. One day, but not in January.
