Dejan Kulusevski RTTK - Spend or Swerve
Positives & Negatives
- Positives
- A very well rounded card and if given a Defending chemistry style can play as a CM
- In game he felt like a very powerful and direct winger with good passing and crossing
- Can be moved to a central role as he has an alternative position as CF
- Applying an Architect can change his AcceleRATE to Lengthy
- 4* Skills Moves
- Negatives
- He has a High and Average body type which doesn’t contribute well to his dribbling
- His nation is considered an off nation so it becomes harder to get him onto 3 chemistry
- No Outside Foot Shot trait which is quite desirable with the current Travela shot meta
- Quite overpriced, he would need to get both RTTK upgrades to be worth the cost
- 3* Weak Foot

Position Played
The main formation that I played was the 4-2-2-2, in this formation Kulusevski played as a LAM, with all of the instructions set to Default.
During games I switched to a 4-1-2-1-2 (2) and Kulusevski moved to the LCM role with all instructions set to Default apart from for Support on Crosses I instructed him to Get into Box for Cross
Chemistry Style
Chemistry Style Used
- Architect – I applied an Architect to Kulusevski as this was the only chemistry style that changed his AcceleRATE type to Lengthy and I wanted to see how he felt with this acceleration style.
Recommended Chemistry Style
- You need an Architect on 3 chemistry points should you want to change his AcceleRATE, however I am not sure there is a huge enough benefit for him so I would look to apply a chemistry based on his position you want to use him. If you wanted to play him as a LAM I would look at something like a Hawk/Hunter but if you wanted to use him as a CM I would suggest something to boost his Defence like a Shadow
How did he perform?
- Overall Kulusevski performed very well, he contributed with some assist and goals during his 10 game period. I wouldn’t say that he performed exceptionally or done much to stand him out from the other wingers I have used and for his price I would have hoped for a bit more.
10 Game Ratings
Player Comparisons – Is he better than?
- Son – Son is a better attacking option as he offers the 5* weak foot with better shooting and pace. Kulusevski would be a better CM if needed.
- OTW Sterling – Sterling is a better winger due to his better pace and dribbling, but if you wanted to play either as a striker I would choose Kulusevski
- Jota – Jota is a very similar card and offers that 5* weak foot, therefore I would say Jota is a better attacking option, again Kulusevski would be a better CM if needed.
- POTM Rashford – Rashford has 5* skills and better pace than Kulusevski which gives him an edge in the attacking areas if you utilise skills. If you do not, then I would say Kulusevski is a better option for you.

Verdict
Overall I think Kulusevski has a very good card, and it performs well in game, however he does not perform exceptionally in any areas.
He is a very well rounded and versatile card, giving you the options to play him in a lot of different positions on the pitch, dependant on the chemistry styles used.
His key weaknesses for me are his 3* weak foot with no Outside Foot Shot trait and his low balance, but overall if you have this card he will definitely perform well for you.
The biggest issues I have with this card, first one being is getting him onto 3 chemistry can be tough, and I understand not everyone will feel the need to do that, however if you wanted to change his AcceleRATE he needs 3 chemistry and the second issue being his cost, for me he is simply too expensive in relation to the options currently available and he really needs the two RTTK boosts to get him closer to him price which isn’t guaranteed, so for me it’s a Swerve!
