Best way to complete the 87 Rated End of an Era Raphael Varane

End of an Era (EOAE) Raphael Varane SBC has just dropped and as you would expect, his is not cheap, so before you jump in, let’s break down the most efficient way to complete this. This article is powered by Score More With Xbox.
The Cost
This SBC is coming in at 344,300 coins which at this stage of the game is quite expensive, however Varane has had some extremely good cards in the past so this one was never going to be cheap.

Here’s the breakdown on the cards you’ll need to complete the various squads for this SBC:
- 2x 86-rated Team of the Week (TOTW) players
- 2x 89-rated cards
- 11x 88-rated cards
- 3x 87-rated cards
- A mix of 86-rated to 83-rated cards.
The 88 & 89 rated cards are the ones which will cost you the most as it is unlikely you will have many untradeable versions.
Breaking Down the Squads
Here’s a quick look at what each individual squad requires:
France: You’ll need an 85 rated squad with 1 player from France.

Top Form: You’ll need an 86 rated squad, with a TOTW.

Serie A: You will need an 87 rated squad with 1 player from Serie A, and you will also need a TOTW player.

88-Rated Squad: To finish, you will need an 88 rated squad.

You have approximately a month to complete this SBC so there is plenty of time to for you to acquire the cards or coins needed to complete this. I expect over the coming weeks you will be able to get most cards untradeable if you are patient, it just depends on how quickly you want the card.
Is it worth it?
Now, let’s talk value. The 87-rated EAOE Varane comes in around 350k, this is about the same price as 89 Virgil van Dijk which I believe to be a better card, the main difference here is you can slowly work towards your way to completing this card and you would have buy van Dijk with coins.
The price of the SBC seems a little high, but when you take into consideration the time you have to complete it, and the cards you would need to get in that time I actually think it’s a pretty fair SBC and definitely one to complete if you have a Serie A team. EA have released some really nice Serie A cards already so this seems like a good addition to that.
