This is a really strong evolution, but not in the way it’s intended. It’s clearly aimed at turning your CBs into CDMs with the added position and more midfield-oriented PlayStyles, but in reality, it’s much better used as a straight CB boost. The 99 defending upgrade is huge, and it comes with a load of strong attribute boosts that turn your centre-backs into elite-level options, especially if they already have solid playstyles.
It costs 100k, which is on the higher side, but it’s definitely worth it if you use it correctly. Pairing this with the Anticipate+ evolution from the season pass can create some truly ridiculous CBs. So while it might not be ideal for actually playing someone in midfield, it’s perfect for taking an already meta defender and making them even better.
